IBM deals with Twitter to collaborate for data analytics

Twitter is going through a rough phase in recent times and the company is trying hard to keep up with the market pace and come back strong. Hence, the company is trying its best to come up with new strategies that help in boosting their business mechanism. Therefore, in order to achieve its objective, TWTR has planned to collaborate with IBM to assist them in making better decisions for their business by analyzing the data collected by the company of tweets on a worldwide scale.

IBM has planned a rough draft to present to Twitter which would allow them to analyze the current business trends as well as the persisting trend of the market. Apart from this the company will also look forward to training almost 10,000 of the company’s employees which will be trained to use Twitter in an efficient manner to produce better results. In order to fulfill its requirements, the company’s main focus is to strengthen their position of the clouds and data analytics products. As the company is more focused to conventional commoditized hardware it would be a major turn over to opt for something more advanced and it would also take time for them to get immune to the advancements.

But IBM still stands in the way of other companies while doing business together as the company still follows the traditions methods and ways to business which separates them from their niche target audience. Fortune says that “One of the major issues with Twitter was that their tweets were scattered and those who choose this forum for advertisements can’t really target their market.

Considering this, the company is now working to filter these tweets out according to geographical and biological basis. For the same reason, Twitter gave many companies the access to these tweets so that they could sell them again to corporate clients.”
