Usually,
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the United States of America.
Black Friday falls on Friday in the last week of November. It is a busy
shopping as well as a holiday in the country. Various big name stores and other
stores start to cut off prices and give amazing discounts to its customers to
enjoy and celebrate Thanksgiving. But this year, Amazon has planned to start
Black Friday before schedule. New York Post says “It is no trick; Amazon starts
Black Friday season now.” On 31st October, Jeff Bezos announced a
Black Friday Emergency.
The
company officials announced “Amazon will start its “Black Friday” deals on
Saturday, cutting into the Halloween festivities, instead of waiting until the
day after Thanksgiving in keeping with tradition.” The company has planned to start
the Black Friday early than it usually falls in order to get a competitive edge
over its rivals. Jeff Bezos, the Amazon boss wants to kick off the usual
shopping nearly a month earlier when the company starts its Black Friday
giveaways from Saturday, November 01. Amazon is planning to offer its customers
two deal of the day till the 22nd December. The offers will center
on big holiday items, including toys, electronics and kitchen cookware.
AMZN is the best out there when it comes to giving best quality products at
reasonable prices. Hence, there are many other various retail stores which try
to match the policy and plans of Amazon. Currently, Wal-Mart is trying to match
the lower rates of Amazon’s online prices this year but it has failed to do so
whereas, BestBuy, Target, and Toys R Us, among many others, are on par with
Amazon.com online prices. Moreover, Target is offering free shipping to its
customers on all items that are available on its website till the 20th
December.
Wall
Street reports that “Last week, Amazon shares plunged 11 percent after it said
sales during the all-important holiday quarter would be lower than Wall Street
analysts expected. However, Shares of Amazon were up 1.14 percent, or $3.42, at
$302.49 in morning trading.”
