IBM collaborates with Twitter for data analytics

TWTR is facing a tough and in order to overcome this massacre, the company is trying its best to come up with new strategies that help in boosting their business mechanism. For the same reason, TWTR has come in contract with IBM to assist them in making better decisions for their business by analyzing the data collected by the company of tweets on a worldwide scale.

The company has come up with a rough draft to present to TWTR which would allow them to analyze the current business trends and also deduce the sentiments affiliated to the brand as well as the persisting trend of the market. Apart from this the company will also look forward to training almost 10,000 of the company’s employees which will be trained to use Twitter in an efficient manner.
The prime focus of the company would be to cater to clouds and data analytics products. Since the company is more focused to conventional commoditized hardware it would be a major turn over to opt for something more advanced and it would also take time for them to get immune to the advancements.
The problem that IBM faces with companies is that they are still following the conventional ways to do business which separates them from their niche target audience.

One of the major issues with TWTR was that their tweets were scattered and those who choose this forum for advertisements can’t really target their market. Considering this, the company is now working to filter these tweets out according to geographical and biological basis. For the same reason, TWTR gave many companies the access to these tweets so that they could sell them again to corporate clients.
TWTR has previously contacted many companies to help them sail swiftly but no fruitful result has been observed so far. The company now needs to streamline its mechanism and for this purpose they believe that their collaboration with IBM would pave their way to success.  The company has also allowed IBM to use this data while developing software in hopes that this might be a game changer for them.

IBM claims that "Twitter has created something extraordinary. When you bring this together with other kinds of information and leverage IBM's innovations in analytics, Watson and cloud, business decision-making will never be the same," . For TWTR this is another milestone to achieve.
