How to delete your embarrassing tweets?

Twitteris a popular social media forum that has many active users. Twitter gave birthto tweets and now we see tweets by people on various topics. At times one is not in the right frame of mind and later realizes that what they tweeted is not appropriate thus in such a situation the best thing to do is delete those tweets and take a sigh of relief.

TWTR now allows you to search your old tweets but some of these tweets from the past are so ugly that you would rather prefer them to stay buried.  Here if you are in mood of some humor so I would suggest that go to settings, scroll till you find request your archive and then click on it. Once you do so then an entire list of your tweets will be mailed on your email address as a document which you can cherish.
Thefirst process you can use to delete your tweets is the contemporary method of manual deletion. In case you remember some particular tweet which you seek to delete then just type the keywords you remember and Twitter will navigate you to the particular tweet or a list of tweets that contain that keyword. Once that is done the next thing you can do is that click on the more option, navigate to delete tweet and thus you remove the stain forever from your Twitter.
The other thing you can do if you want a complete clean sweep then a third party application is available known as Tweet Delete which would delete any tweet youwant. If you wish to delete your previous week tweets or wish to delete your one year old tweets then this is just the right thing for you that would achieve your desired cleanup within seconds.
The last and the most extreme thing one can do are to deactivate their Twitteraccounts. Although this is a very harsh initiate but would certainly give you a clean slate and a new canvas to paint your thoughts on.

Barack Obama proud of his Twitter feed

Twitter is one of the most used social media networks of this era. From a common man to the most popular celebrity, everyone uses Twitter to either share their daily doings or anything they would feel like. There is no restriction on posting anything. Hence, from a common man to famous celebrities and sports athletes, everyone is pretty much active on Twitter. As for that matter, the United States President Barrack Obama is also a user of Twitter and an active one. Barrack Obama has over more than 12,000 tweets and 50 million followers on his Twitter account.

President Obama is proud of his huge Twitter following. Speaking at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Obama praised the school's studies on climate change, and added: “In fact, last year I even tweeted one of your studies to my 31 million followers on TWTR.” Usatoday.com further adds that on the crowd’s chuckling, Obama said “Just bragging a little bit ... I don't think that's quite as much as Lady Gaga, but it's pretty good ... That's still not bad.”
This maybe because Lady Gaga is one of the famous persons who is listen in the highest followers on Twitter and maybe back then President Obama trailed her. But currently, Barrack Obama has now zoomed past the singer as his Twitter feed approaches 50 million followers. According to the website Twitter Counter, Obama has the third largest number of Twitter followers at 49.7 million, trailing only singers Katy Perry (60 million) and Justin Bieber (56.8 million). Lady Gaga, with 42.8 million followers, is in sixth place on the Twitter Counter list, following Taylor Swift (46.8 million) and YouTube (46.5 million).

How to Make money with Twitter

With the passage of time, twitter is becoming popular enormously and the people using and tweeting every day is increasing rapidly. This social network is basically used to write whatever a person wants without keeping any audience in mind. From a common man to celebrities, athletes, scholars, and other popular people are fond of being on twitter and using it to either give some news about their respective field or share whatever they would want to. Hence, the company is looking to make it more interesting for its users by making a few changes in its interface in the coming times.

Twitter has revealed some radical changes that are on the horizon for users' timelines. It will make some crazy changes in its interface to make it more interesting and user friendly for the users. At its first ever Analyst Day conference, it is believed that “the company revealed some of the innovations that will be rolling out in the coming weeks and months as it continues to grow and find more ways to engage its audience.” TWTR receives more than 500 million tweets every day. Hence the company wants to improve its user experience in the future. The expected changes that the company will be making are as follows:
1.      You will now not miss on anything
Twitter has planned to get rid of fear of missing out. This indicates that even after stepping away from Twitter, it will be easy to rejoin a certain conversation. Twitter said “We can use information like who you follow and what you engage with to surface highlights of what you missed and show those to you as soon as you log back in or come back to the app.”
2.      Introduction of private conversations
Even though it has been a while, but Twitter will now finally be introducing an option to take public conversation to private. Twitter says the first change, allowing users to share and discuss tweets natively in direct messages.

Why social forums provide a good platform for branding?

What we have recently seen is that messaging, discussion and forums are losing their importance with the rampant success of social media platforms such as TWTR, FB and LNKD. These companies have completely revolutionized the face of socializing where people now prefer to tweet on TWTR rather than opting for other contemporary platforms which were initially very popular. People specifically those who use these mediums for branding have switched to popular social sites but still none can deny the importance of places that allowed questioning and answering related to certain brands or products.
For the same reason, messaging and similar forums are extremely common. These can be in the form of websites or can be a part of a company’s sites where they provide support and assistance regarding the brand. These platforms are far better since they allow you to communicate people who are or have experienced a similar issue which popular sites cannot provide.
According to a survey conducted, 90 percent of all conversations done regarding particular brands was through forums or the messaging board. Ironically brands do not know that some social forums also facilitate these messaging boards. So here we will provide you with ways you can make your participation in forums sounder.
Follow the guidelines provided by the forum. It does not really matter how good you are at something but you need to follow the path assigned. It adhere you to the decorum of the platform and makes your contribution more effective. Following guidelines only benefits the user. It makes you more precise about the requirements and thus makes you cater to them.
Understand that the forum is not your personal space where you can brand as much as you want. One needs to understand that people don’t use it for your marketing purpose so giving space to readers is essential. If you don’t respect the forum or users liking, this will eventually lead you to a ban. Hence just don’t start spamming.
Stop being all defensive in case you have been alleged for not comprehending to the guidelines provided.  It is always better to apologize and make sure such things don’t happen again. Marketing and branding is not a one day game. So the best way to sustain the business is to be patient and avoid spamming.

Twitter empowers women

Women harassment is something that the world has not succeeded in countering despite all efforts.  Many nonprofit organizations have worked towards this cause but not much has been done so far. TWTR now wants to work on this issue, hence for this reason they have collaborated with WAM (Women, Action, and the Media) in order to play their share in making this world a safer place for women.
In order to counter this issue an online survey was established that asked women aged 18 to 25 to participate. According to consensus, many reported of harassment online. In order to counter it WAM has developed a form which harassment victims need to fill that would later be submitted to TWTR. “There are a lot of different ways that women are getting harassed and Twitter’s current reporting system isn’t catching all of them,” stated Jaclyn Friedman, who is the executive director of WAM.
The purpose of this would be to report more cases of harassment which are usually left unattended. This way, those women who cannot stand against these issues can at least record their protest against it.  These reports will reach TWTR in maximum 24 hours of the time they have been reported. Thus the actions would be immediate and would not account for delay. The purpose as explained by Friedman would be “You might report one tweet, but that may not rise to the level of harassment,” said Freidman. “But if you paint a picture of other harassment, you get a bigger story.”
Another purpose of the research would be to track the behavior of those people who are involved in harassment related activities.  This will allow the company to analyze the way these harassers behave and would eventually let them to deduce ways to counter them. This will assist them in analyzing if they follow any pattern or no.
“This must be more than just a plan to appease those of us speaking up about harassment in the short term,” claimed Emily Lindin  who is working on  The UnSlut Project, she has faced name-calling online and assaults through email or cellular phones“Threats on social media are real threats, and if those making them knew there would be consequences, they might make different decisions. As it is, reporting Twitter harassment is fruitless and blocking a user just puts a bigger target on your back.”
Thus it is now the requirement of social media giants to step up and counter harassment in order to ensure women interest. TWTR’s initiate is commendable but we need more such initiates.
