Google and Netflix are not the same anymore

Netflix has been one of the leading and largest Internet streaming providers of movies and TV shows for a very long time now. It has captivated the market and has been a dominant force which has put the jeopardy of pay TV cable in trouble. However for pay TV cable, after facing a very tough and one sided competition from Netflix, there is another entry which started to take over the market as soon as it was launched in the past days. Netflix’s rivals are increasing in the past days as Amazon Prime and Hulu are bolstering their position in the market.
Moreover, the new entrant in the market, Shomi, which is a Canadian based company, is also imposing great threats on pay TV cable as well as internet streaming services. Hence it is reported that Google, Amazon, and Netflix are 3 percent, 20 percent, and 5 percent down respectively. It is very well known that these companies were known as the powerhouses in their markets.
According to CNBC, Google used to be an island all by itself with no competition. And even though it still continues to dominate, it's left with the pressure to be profitable. Analysts believe that Google must be working and start milking the virgin territory of what it owns for instance, YouTube.
Analysts also believe that Netflix was once a dominant force in all non-networking programming market but it has lost its charm due to tough competition. It is not that these companies are not performing well in the market but tough competition has pressurized them which is affecting the performance of the company over the period of time.

The pricing is decided to be about $10 per month to access the streaming services of Netflix.
Ithink the model for broadcast TV, where it's this destination stop where you go home at 8 o'clock to watch House Of Cards... that use-by date has probably passed already,” Cliff Edwards said who is the director of corporate communications of the company. He further added that this has been one of those long time coming markets as the company had been planning to launch itsservices in Australia and New Zealand both for a very long time. In a nutshell, Netflix's move will trigger fierce competition in the video-on-demand business.

Amazon giving tough time to Netflix

Netflix is known as the best internet streaming provider services of movies and TV shows. Despite of facing tough competition from hullo, Amazon Prime, and recently launched Shame, the company has managed to put up a good show and amazing streaming hours for its viewers. From the price plan to the streaming hours, Netflix proved to be worthy of being listed as the best week in week out. As the world is advancing on technology, the trend of 4K TVs, videos, and streaming is getting popular day by day. Netflix has started to adopt this trend by launching few movies and TV shows in Ultra HD quality.
However, in order to compete in the market, after introducing Echo by Amazon, the company has also planned to launch its 4K movies and TV shows plan in the near future. As far as 4K streaming is concerned, Netflix charges $7.99 ($8.99 after this month) for one month plan to let the viewer’s stream videos in 4K. On the contrary, Amazon Prime will be granting free 4K streaming to its viewers in response to Netflix when it planned to raise its 4K streaming price. CNET reports, Today Amazon said users who subscribe to its $99 per year Prime program would not have to pay extra to get 4K versions of its video streams.
Michael Paul, Amazon digital video VP said “We want to be the best entertainment destination for customers. We're confident that offering Ultra HD content, whether it's a TV series or a film, will help create the ultimate viewing experience and can't wait to start making it available this year.” Recently, Netflix raised the price of its standard HD package service from $7.99 to $8.99 for new subscribers on May 9th. Current subscribers who have been paying for 4K service prior to Aug. 12th were grandfathered into the older $7.99 a month plan until Aug. 12, 2016.
Hence, after this announcement, AMZN has proved to be a potential candidate to give tough options for the viewers to decide between choosing Netflix or Amazon Prime when 4K videos and TVs get more common.
